    Art Gliner Center for Humor Studies has been established at the University of Maryland. The Center is directed by Dr. Lawrence E. Mintz. The mission of the Center is to support the study of humor through research, teaching, lectures and programs. The Mini-Center for Teaching Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture and Society
    The Center for Teaching Interdisciplinary Studies was established at the Department of American Studies with the main objective of creating a learning community of faculty and graduate teaching assistants who can support one another's efforts to improve, develop, and disseminate ideas and techniques for interdisciplinary teaching and scholarship in cultural and social studies.     Bibliography of Web Metasites Students enrolled in AMST 602 in the spring of 2001 have prepared an annotated bibliography of large scholarly Web sites that provide links and information about online resources in the subject areas of interest to students of American culture. Cultural Landscapes Bibliography
    Cultural Landscapes Bibliography This broad bibliography of sources on all subjects related to the study of cultural landscapes was begun by Mary Corbin Sies and two classes of students taking AMST 629L, Interpretation of Cultural Landscapes. Annotations were provided by students enrolled in the fall 1998 course. Gilda Anroman and Jenny Thompson added and checked citations, and Claudia Rector edited the bibliography and formatted it for the web. Contact: Claudia Rector
